Longoria recently disclosed that she put the name of current boyfriend — San Antonio basketball star Tony Parker — somewhere on her body. “You can see my tatts, they’re all on public display, but the one that has Tony’s initials is only seen by him,” she says. “I’m not saying where it is — but let’s just say he gets to view it on a very regular basis.”

It looks like this Desperate Housewives star might have to learn about name tattoos the hard way. What other tattoos does Eva Longoria have? A small cross on her lower back is the most visible one. She also has another design on her inner wrist.

A young Russian Communist was forefully tattooed on his face according to MosNews. Police contend that it wasn’t an assault but rather a publicity stunt by the Communist politician himself. Of course, they never investigated so how do they really know?

Zhirnov was returning home at night from his election headquarters and was attacked by four men who beat him up and forced him into their car where he was tied up with duct tape and the assailants tattooed obscene words on the candidate’s cheeks and forehead using a homemade electrical needle… The police at first refused to instigate a criminal case into the incident, claiming that Zhirnov’s report was a PR stunt.

Forget Photoshop contests at Fark, some parents are opting in to use temporary tattoos on their babies for security reasons. However these are just temporary tattoos that will come off later. Relax, this isn’t real. Fark.com has a Photoshop contest running today with the theme “baby tattoos.” Some of the pictures are quite humorous. One of the pictures is the “son” of that lizard guy with the forked tounge, face implants, and the nearly full body scale tattoos. There is another entry called fetal tattoos, you can guess what its about.

A woman with a portrait of Angelina Jolie wanted to show the movie actress her tattoo. The problem was she had an ass tattoo. Or may be it wasn’t a problem, because Angelina sure noticed it. While reports say Angelina snapped a pic of the portrait with her cell phone, I haven’t been able to find any photos of it.

Hanzismatter.com analyses people’s Chinese tattoo designs. A few of the mistranslations include “fraud” which the wearer probably was told was “blessing.” Just a suggestion, but you may you to run your design by a real expert before having it permanently inked into your skin.

Here is an interesting form of body art from India — Bindi. Bindi is basically attaching jewels to the body to create unique designs. Perhaps it would be fair to describe it as a distant cousin to tattooing, closer to temporary designs such as henna and body painting.
