A&E’s Inked faces off with Miami Ink
A&E’s tattoo show — Inked premeired tonight. The show was cut up into 2 30-minute episodes.
Inked had many simularities to Miami Ink. I would like to see a little more about the actual tattoo art rather than so much emphasis on the characters & drama that occurs in the tattoo shops between owners and employees.

I agree was well. I’ve watched both MIAMI INK and INKED and MIAMI INK is way better as it concentrates on THE tattoo, application, design AND the tattoo artists!

I work at a tattoo shop in Miami, Florida. And I can tell you Miami ink is not representative of Miami style ink at all. Want real “Miami” then check out http://ochoplacas.com/main.html I watch both shows and I think inked is a lot funner to watch. Way more interesting.

“Miami Style”? WTF? Does that mean like Cuban flags and shit? Inked is bullshit from the get go. Dirt bike stunt guy gets rich, opens up a tattoo shop and of course A&E jumps on it, because they know drama better than TNT. The show’s focus is primarily on DRAMA and usually the type of drama that makes you think, “is this shit scripted?”. It’s based on drama because the guy in charge has nothing to do with tattoos except for the fact that he has them on his body. That’s the HUGE difference between Inked and Miami Ink. A show about actual artist running their own shop with an emphasis on the artists, the tattoos they create and the people who get them….without all the bullshit fabricated drama. I hope your shop in Miami isn’t anything like the soap opera ‘Real World’ on Inked. Funner isn’t a real word, btw.
