Army policy change now allows neck tattoos

But Steven Lawson, a public affairs specialist with the Army recruitment battalion in Indianapolis, said a nationwide policy change dated Jan. 20 now permits certain neck tattoos. It applies to everyone in the Army - not just new recruits.

    well, im almost getting kicked out over my calf tat because im not quite fully trained (two months to go, woo!), so i doubt neck tat’s, above the uniform worn standardisd will be alowed just yet (mine only shows when im in p.t. yet i got 45 mins worth of STUPID hard beasting because of it… worth i though)
    this kinda crap rumor goes hand in hadn with the drug one. for one last time, sruggies arent allowed into the forces! rehabe is NOT offreed to new entry’s! its offred to LONG serving men who stand a chance of making it back into active! ghhaw!

    Very cool. Well, maybe not for the navy folks, but can’t win em all, eh? I got kicked out of ‘Navy League’ in my home town for having a back tattoo that was ‘too large and un-lady-like’. Oh well, I guess it worked out in the end.

    They can’t make policies “with exceptions”.. Its all or nothing right? Why should 1 have to leave because of a tattoo thats not visible (especially in uniform..(on the back)).. but some with (small) neck tats can stay??
