Woman forced to cover tattoo in order to ride plane
From the Sydney Morning Herald:
A woman with a shoulder tattoo of a man and woman embracing was asked to cover up her tattoo or get off an airplane. She wrote a letter to complain, but won’t be taking legal action.
Soon after boarding a flight to Brisbane last month, the 36-year-old said she was asked to cover the tattoo on her shoulder blade - even though singlet straps already hid the most potentially offensive bit - or get off the plane.

I really think she should have taken legal action due to it was not something that would have harmed anyone. If someone didnt like the tattoo than they shouldnt look at it. it is her right to have what she wants on her. it wasnt like she was the one personally and physically that was nude. I dont feel it was their right to ask her to cover her tattoo. That was like telling someone to cover up art work that is known all over the country of nude woman with nude child like angels around her. It was only art that she had on her body and noone should be able to tell her to cover it up or get off a plane. it was just wrong.

what idiots there are out there. i’m sure plenty of great works of classic art, paintings, etc, have taken plane rides without controversy. look at the middle age art and renessance pieces with partially and fully nude figures. tattoos and paintings have both existed for thousands of years. let it go.
